Sec. Kerry Defines “Stupid”

September 16, 2013

What is the connection between “In America you have a right to be stupid” and “freedom of speech, religion and thought”? Statement made by Secretary of State Kerry to a group of students in Germany, NY Times Magazine.

The whole speech was not reported, so the context in which this statement was made is missing. However, one begs to disagree with this ridiculous and ludicrous comment on the American intelligence.

First of all, no one has the “right to be stupid,” but everyone has the right to an education, to knowledge, and to be informed. Our poor population is only as intelligent as the education the government wants us to have. In this country we spend money on everything else – war, spying, security, guns, the moon, WMD – but education and taking the poor out of the gutter.

Instead, we feed them propaganda, patriotism, and how to be proud of a country that is rapidly burying them in political filth and ignorance – or democracy and capitalism.

It’s a sad day in this life when a man who could be president tells the world that we have a right to be stupid. Does Sec. Kerry know the meaning of the word “stupid”? If he does and uses it about us then he must hate us very much. If he doesn’t, then he is more stupid than we are because we would not us words that we could not define.

Oh! And the disrespect implied!

One must hope that the people abroad do not think that we Americans are as stupid as our politicians. One hopes that the poor and the proletariat in other countries understand that the poor and the proletariat in the US are also at the mercy of the 1%; at the mercy of their democratically elected members of congress; at the mercy of the Supreme Court; at the mercy of the banks and big businesses, etc. There is no one watching out for the interests of the poor and the proletariat.

It is becoming increasingly clear that members of Congress are far more stupid than the people they represent. They are cunning and greedy, which is no substitute for intelligence.

World, as you are watching and listening, we the people of the US voted for Sec. Kerry, Michele Demented, and all those members of congress. As you can see, they are all more stupid than we the American people are.

Michele D(emented) Backmann

September 13, 2013

Is this woman really as stupid, ignorant, uninformed, foolish and demented as she comes across in real life?

To think that this creature is a member of the US Congress is quite disturbing. What’s more disturbing is that she is allowed to leave the USA and go to foreign parts and show the world how stupid, ignorant, uninformed, foolish and demented our elected officials really are. This is the disturbing and embarrassing aspect of their lack of knowledge.

Congresswoman Michele Demented Bachmann was in Egypt on 9-8-13 and praised, lauded, congratulated, encouraged and promised 1.3 billion to the al-Sisi regime for overthrowing a democratically elected government. Several points to be noted here:

One: In her speech she connected the Muslim Brotherhood Party of Egypt to the terrorist attacks on the US of September 11, 2001. Which world is she living in to make such a connection?

Two: Has she any idea what the al-Sisi military regime is doing to the unarmed Egyptian people? How can she and cohorts praise a dictator for overthrowing a democratically elected government and slaughtering its people?

Three: Is al-Sisi fighting terrorism as she said or implementing a one-party government? Is this what the US wants in Egypt and the Middle East? A one party military regime to rule the poor?

Four: Compare al-Sisi to George Washington? Al-Sisi and Company to Thomas Jefferson?

Five: What threat has the Muslim Brotherhood posed around the world and to the USA?

If members of Congress think that the people of Egypt and that region are stupid, ignorant, uninformed, foolish and demented, then they are wrong. They may be poor and unemployed, but they are not uneducated and uninformed. And I am quite sure that they must see these congress ignoramuses for what they are: A bunch of stupid, ignorant, uninformed, foolish and demented nincompoops.

Secretary of State Kerry said, “In America you have a right to be stupid,” (NY Times Magazine). That is okay for America, I suppose. But we must not take it for granted that people, because they live in ‘third world’ countries are the same. I happen to know that the Egyptian people are quite intelligent and informed of world politics and would see right through the nonsense these congressional political hucksters are pushing for political gain and power.

Perhaps people running for Congress should take an IQ test. MDB certainly needs to take one.

Mass Media and Ignorance

September 12, 2013

With all the ways in the world to enhance our knowledge, educate ourselves, learn new things, and cure our ignorance, we are still so lacking in owing basic information.

There is the old television and newspapers, and now the internet, face book, twitter and text, to name a few. One would think that people would be bulging and overflowing with news.

Not so! People are now more ignorant than ever they were in the past.

An American and I were recently visiting friends in Europe. A few of us watched the debate in the British Parliament on the crisis in Syria. Our thoughts and conversation turned to the American perspective on Syria. And then the topic of open debate in the US crawled into the conversation. And then racism and prejudice in the US came up.

My American acquaintance stated loudly and clearly that there is no such thing as racism and prejudice in America, and has never experienced hate, racism or prejudice anywhere here.

One Englishman asked about stop-and-frisk and the young Blacks and Latinos who are the targets. The American response was that if they do drugs they should be put in jail. The Englishman brought up several other issues – Trayvon Martin, new voting laws, etc. –but the American held fast and firm to the belief about justice and the law. It was clear that the English knew more about our racism and prejudice than the American, and I was embarrassed by “our” ignorance.

From this conversation one thing was clear. Americans are quite ignorant of what is happening in their country. Is it by choice or design? It is telling that an English person would know more about American hate crimes, racism, and prejudice than an American. If our policies are to keep the electorate ignorant and vote white, then those policies are successful.

Who is to blame? Yes, there is more news out there today than ever before, but people are fed propaganda and do not have the analytical skills to distinguish truth from falsehood. As long as it’s on television they gobble it up as truth with out question or criticism. We are intellectually lazy, and where ever this country is heading, we are to blame.

Democracy can not flourish, prosper and live on with an ignorant population.
Ignorance will be the demise of American democracy.

Republicans and History

September 11, 2013

The white men and women, young and old Republicans in the US Congress, hate the President of the USA simply because he is half black, have an ancestral name, and had the audacity to be elected President of their white country.

The fact that the American people – the people who voted them into office – are suffering because of their obstructionism, lack of ethics, and lack of concern for the people’s welfare is of little interest to them. Their chief role in Congress is to shoot down every proposal of the President, to make him look bad, and to defeat his every thought, idea and plan regardless of whether those thoughts, ideas and plans may or may not benefit the American people.

Their racist and prejudiced concern is not for the American people, but for the defeat of the President. What kind of racist people are these who have infested the US Congress?

Ten years from now when our kids look back into our history what will they see? A bunch of white republicans who hate other people because their skin is brown / black? Is this how white republicans are shaping the future of this country? To hate anyone who is not white?

If the white Republicans are trying to make Barack Obama a failed head of state, then they should consider two things:

One, How history will judge them, and two, since they are the party of God and morality, their ploys, plots, tricks, tactics, obstructionism, hate, racism, and prejudice will only work if it is the will of God.

They must remember that they vowed to make him a one term president, but God had other plans. And so we must wait and see what plans will unfold by the will of God.
